Safeguard Fruit & Veggie Wash was launched in Western Australia in May 2008 is now available nationally in Australia as well as internationally in other countries including Singapore, Italy, Canada, Brunei, Mauritius, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Leanne is the founder of Safeguard Innovations and has over a decade of experience working in the fruit and vegetable industry. Leanne has been self-employed since the age of 19 and has successfully launched four different companies over the last twenty years.

Leanne has been recognised for her entrepreneurial expertise and has been awarded with numerous accolades including the WA Small Business of the Year award at the Telstra Business Awards, National Winner of the MYOB Business Owner awards and the Small Business Development Corporation’s ‘Best Potential New Exporter’ in 2002. In the same year she was also named in the BRW Fast 100 as having the 66th fastest growing business in Australia and in 2007 Leanne was the winner of the 40 Under 40 Award.

Leanne currently owns and manages Safeguard Innovations and Pacco Group. Pacco Group is Western Australia’s largest fruit and vegetable packing house and supplies up to 80,000 pieces of fresh fruit and vegetables to supermarket chains each day.

Dieter Wesche is a qualified horticulturalist with over twenty years experience in the fruit and vegetable industry. Dieter manages the International Business Development for Safeguard Innovations and within 6 months Safeguard Fruit & Veggie Wash has been sold internationally to countries including Singapore, Italy, Canada, Brunei, Mauritius, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Dieter attends many national and international trade shows each year to establish new business and keep head of market innovations and trends.
